First Birthday Princess Invitation

Design

This client requested a “foofy” first birthday invitation for her daughter – Yes, seriously.

She wanted a “Baby Princess” theme, which was to represent her baby’s personality. So, I chose to create a ruffled dress, complete with a sash and rhinestone that would pop up when opened. Also to keep the fairy tale flowing, I added fluffy clouds in the background then accented them with pink colored pencil, which also matched “Princess Kiyomi.” To complete the design, I added Manga style “baby royalty” clouds to tie in the Japanese essence that was also within little Kiyomi’s ethnicity.
